Where is my wickedness?

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

David said, "Search my heart, Oh God, and let me know if there be any wicked way in me." This scripture is quoted often. Do you know the verses before it? "For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies." (vs 20-22) Think about this a minute. David was talking with the Lord about those who openly despised Him. David realized that God didn't need him to defend His name. He may have seemed justified in his hatred, but he stopped and asked the Lord to search him for his wickedness.

Have you ever taken the time to search your heart? What did you find? If you found nothing then you didn't spend the time God has called you to in the search. We all have wickedness in us that must be overcome by the Holy Spirit. God wouldn't have given us this scripture if we didn't. When you prepare yourself for your day think on how God would have you react to people. Salt and Light. You may not think this, but you are being watched.

God doesn't call us to be doormats to others. He does expect us to conduct ourselves in manner befitting His Name. How can we do that if we don't continually search what is in our hearts?

Seeking His heart in all I do and say.

Who has the Son?

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." 1 John 5:12

It's that simple. There is only one way to eternal life and that is in Christ Jesus. You can't just "be a good person" and get to heaven. You have to know Jesus as your Savior and allow Him to be Lord of your life. I know a lot of nice people who are not going to heaven if they were to die right now. I continue to do my job and tell them about Jesus, but I continue to hear things like "That may work for you, but it's not for me."

It grieves my heart when people reject Jesus. I can get over them rejecting my business plan. That's their freedom on earth they are throwing away. However, when they turn down the One who will save them for all eternity it breaks my heart. I pray for them ~ prayer is what I do best ~ but when they openly turn away I can do nothing but weep.

God is good. God is the only one who can change a person's heart. Look at the example of Pharoh with Moses: God opened his heart to let the Israelites leave Egypt. Then the Word says, "He hardened his heart..." Why does God harden a person's heart?

Where is your heart when God has called you to do things that you don't want to do? There are people right next to you every day that don't know the Son. Are you being salt and light in their eyes? Do you allow for conversation that will open the door to sharing the salvation story? Next time you are out in the world, look for the opportunity that God places before you to share the truth. Remember, He is not willing that ANY should perish.

Living in the shadow of His wing.

Staying Out There

My business plan I was supposed to show last night cancelled at the last minute. You'd love the excuse on this one: "I found out I had two friends at church that do this and I don't know where else I would sell." She's a neighbor of a friend of mine so I don't have her direct contact information. My friend sent me an email saying she stopped by during the day and told her she didn't want to move forward. She hasn't even taken the time to see what it entails.

My friend called me last night to tell me that her friend is not really reliable anyway. I told her that would have come out if she got involved. Typing this now, my genius realizes that it came out a lot sooner. I would have loved the practice of showing the plan over the phone with the internet. It's a whole different aspect since I don't have the visual clues on people.

Tomorrow I am following up with a friend of mine from church. I took him to a meeting that Bill Hawkins did on Tuesday. Before the meeting even started Anthony commented on the great atmosphere. He's right. Everyone is there to succeed and that's the pervasive attitude throughout the convention center. I've been talking with him for about a year now. He's cancelled several times. Just after the Governator signed off on laying off hundreds of thousands of people and lowering salaries of more I think was when Anthony realized his government job wasn't so secure anymore. Now he's looking at his options.

Let's see what the future holds!

This Week In Biz

I'm seeing growth in my biz lately. It's the law of sowing and reaping in action. Debbie, my Platinum, had instructed me to focus on retail and introducing people to my product and my website. I have been picking up new customers and now people are starting to take interest in seeing the business plan. It's all very exciting! I'm looking forward to the continued growth.

This week I have a friend who will be attending a local WWDB meeting with me. It's gonna be a great meeting. Bill Hawkins is speaking. Later in the week I'm doing a meeting over the phone. My friend Sharon lives in Indiana. She has a friend that is interested in the business aspect. I'll be showing the plan to them since Dorothy doesn't have the internet. The great thing about the biz is that it's both on and off the internet.

Catchin' Up

It's been a while since my last post. If you read my other blog you'll understand why. However, since the purpose of this blog is much different than the day to day stuff in life I'll not go into that here.

The second of the two purposes of this blog is to share updates of my business building experiences. Last Thursday I attended a meeting for Attitude. The idea is that somebody who has achieved at least Diamond status in the business would share from their perspective. The man who shared Thursday was off the charts. It's one of the best meetings I've attended of this type. He was quite blunt, but at the same time is a people person. I like that about him ~ kinda reminds me of me.

I have seen many changes in myself over the period of time that I've been involved in my own business. It's certainly added to my walk as a Christian by further strengthening my faith in my Creator as well as expanding my character. I am truly looking forward to continued financial growth throughout the next year.
